How we help couples

Most marriage conflict isn't really about the dishes or the budget. It's about the heart.

Root issues, not just surface behaviors

We explore the heart-level dynamics, your deepest desires, fears, and worship, that drive the patterns in your marriage.

What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you?

James 4:1

Sin and suffering, rightly distinguished

Some of what you're facing calls for confession and change. Some calls for comfort. Usually it's both, and we counsel each differently.

Change between sessions

Expect homework: Scripture, prayer, and new rhythms of speaking, listening, repenting, and forgiving that carry into everyday life.

Questions

What if my spouse won't come?

Come anyway. God often begins changing a marriage by changing one person. You'll learn to love your spouse faithfully whether or not they join you, and many reluctant spouses come later.

Do you offer pre-marital counseling?

Yes. We work through expectations, communication, conflict, finances, intimacy, and what Scripture says marriage is for, so you build on the right foundation from the start.

Can we meet virtually?

Yes. Virtual sessions are conducted via the secure client portal and follow the same format, duration, and fees as in-person sessions.

What if there's abuse in our marriage?

Tell us right away. Safety comes first. Joint counseling isn't appropriate where there is abuse, and we'll help you find the right protection and support, including your church's leaders and, where needed, the authorities.
